Something in the woods.
Jasper, Alabama Date: Latre 1970's early 1980s.
We used to play in the woods behind our neighbors back yards. We used to build forts and just hang out all day exploring those same woods. One day I was by myself and went into the woods. As I was walking down a trail I came to a curve in it. As I reached the curve I saw a hairy animal standing on 2 legs reaching with one arm up into a tree. It did look at me, but I could not give an exact picture because I was so scared that I turned around and ran. I never went back into those woods again. When I walked down the street, I would walk on the side opposite of the woods. When I thought back after the incident, I used to always have a feeling of being watched when I would be in the woods on previous occasions, and would feel like something was watching when I would be playing in the backyard of my friends house. Her backyard butted up against those same woods.
