Closet Door
This took place in the Early 1980's
Location: Jasper, Alabama
One morning I had four kids at school and three babies asleep in my bedroom. I hear this banging coming from upstairs. I was in the kitchen washing dishes. It sounded a lot like a door opening and closing real hard. It was continuous. I looked out the window to see if there was a breeze outside. It was very still. The banging kept on. I started getting very worried and scared, but I had to be brave because I had the young babies to think of. I walked to the bottom of the stairs, sill banging hard. I started to slowly creep up the stairs, still scared. I eventually made it high enough to see the closet door opening and closing in my daughter's bedroom. I could see her window was closed. I finally got to the top of the stairs and paused. The door was still opening and closing. As soon as I got to the doorway, the closest door noise quit. I went to the closet and checked inside-nothing there. Very puzzling and spooky. Never found out what had caused it, and it never happened again.
