Caddo Lake
Caddo Lake State Park April 2021
The wife and I wanted to spend a few day away camping. A very pretty park. Plus, we know there have been bigfoot encounters here. On the 2nd night the I awoke to everything being very still and quiet. About a minute later I hear a very loud howl from across the swamp/lake. As soon as that happened all the wildlife came to life. I heard dogs, coyotes, owls and even birds rouse and start chattering. I then heard the howl again and everything went quiet and still. I found that very odd. I laid there and listened and heard two more howls. Each howl lasted a few second and were so loud, even from coming from the distance they were. I had gotten up to go use the rest room and entering back into the tent I woke my wife. I asked if she had heard the commotion and said she did not. I explained what I had heard to her, then we heard a call (different from the ones I heard earlier) not too far from our tent. We analyzed what we heard and could not conclude what it was. My wife's only best explanation is it sounded like monkeys at a zoo in the distance. We heard that call three times and nothing more after that. The next night my wife had told me she heard the sounds again, but I did not. It was a very strange event that still has me baffled.
